Roller flat tappet lifters!

We hold the patent on this unique, innovative design. The base of the lifter spins on a needle bearing set to reduce the rotational friction of the lifter in it's bore and on the cam lobe. This also creates less wear on the valve train parts. A small oil hole is incorporated into the base for positive lobe lubrication.

The design also incorperates replaceable pushrod seats in different hieghts. By having different hieghts available, if a valve train change is made in the future that requires a slightly longer or shorter push rod, but you already have a like new, high dollar set that you really want to use, you can replace the pushrod seat with a different hieght for less cost than a set of new pushrods and without having to buy a new set of lifters if one gets damaged!

The pictures below show three different designs. From left to right;A; the black one is a carbon fiber prototype which is very lightweight,B; a standard steel body prototype, and C;an offset prototype for wherever an offset lifter is required. These offset lifters are connected by link bars to prevent them from rotating in the lifter bore.

Higher valve spring pressures can be used since this lifter does not scuff the lobe. It even spins on the base circle!

We also have a version with a bronze wear disk in place of the needle bearing, that floats in a hydrocushion of oil!

The straight up steel version should be ready for shipping in early 2007 with the lightweight and offset version available soon afterwards!

They will be available in the standard .842, .875, and .904 sizes or we can have a custom set made for your particular application!

We will also be offering surface treated versions with Diamond Like Coating [DLC] and possibly a nitrided version.
