Jeff Koerner
Jeff is an inventor and innovator by nature. He has had an interest in anything mechanical since he was a young boy. He has been working in the automotive engine field since the late 1970's. He's been building racing engines since the 80's. Jeff started learning the real deal about carburetors over 25 years ago from the carburetor "Master" Norm Schenck[from CFS or Competition Fuel Systems and ICE or Internal Combustion Engineering]. Norm and Jeff's extensive knowledge of carburetors far surpasses many other so called "Carb Experts". Most carburetor builders concentrate mainly on high air flow and not so much on mixing air with the fuel. Jeff's approach is not only to make the carburetor flow lots of air but more importantly, to saturate every droplet of fuel with air. This makes for a much more chamber ready charge than raw fuel with no air mixed in it. Aerated fuel makes more power than non-aerated fuel! Jeff's modifications are done in such a way that when the carburetor is at full thottle, all the fuel entering the intake track is emulsified fuel from the main circuit, not raw fuel coming from the accelerator pump, the idle ports, and transition slots and anywhere else it can suck fuel. His main goal is to simply make things work the absolute best they can.
Jeff has also invented lots of things including the Koerner Lifter! A roller flat tappet lifter. Check them out by clicking on the link. He's very innovative and you should give him a try!
